Proud Wall

Our Proud Wall Welcome to our Proud Wall Page. Each week a new person is chosen by Miss A to display their work on the Proud Wall. This can be any piece of work, in any subject area. As Room 4 is a multi-year level class, my choice is never restricted to “the best work in the class”. The piece chosen will be an example of the student‘s best effort, and is a personal best for them. The proud recipient then gets the following privileges:

  • There work displayed on the Proud Wall frame in Room 4 for 1 week
  • Acknowledgement of their hard work in front of the whole class on Monday morning when the new person is revealed.
  • Sit on the orange bean bag for the whole week while on the mat.
  • A certificate to take home recognising their hard work.
  • A prize from Miss A’s treasure box on the Friday when they receive their certificate.
  • Their piece of work published on the “Proud Wall” page on the Class Blog.
When the work is published I will work with the students and help them edit their work in Microsoft Word. However, as this is a reflection of their work at their personal best, I may not correct all of the spelling/punctuation/ grammar, as I feel it is important that the published work still reflects their original work. I think it is important that every child in the class receives this privilege at some stage throughout the year. So they have a chance to celebrate their hard work and effort, and encourage them to strive for excellence. If you wish to post a positive comment, please mention the name of the student's work you are commenting about, so they know it is for them, as all the comments will appear after each other at the bottom of the page. Please leave your first name only, or Anon. All comments will await moderation before being published.

Term1- Week 4

Well done Ella for scoring the first shout out on the Proud Wall! You were given a challenge in your writing and you took it up and nailed it! This a great sign of an Independent learner...keep it up!
